Siena's service team praised by residents

Tom Coyle, customer service director at Siena, an age-qualified community in Summerlin, is proud of his service team. He said members were chosen not only for their construction expertise, but their communication skills as well.
"It takes a group effort to create a quality home," Coyle said. "That effort certainly doesn't stop after our homeowners move in. Those of us in the Siena customer service department work closely with our construction team to see to it that our residents have as few problems as possible -- before or after they move in.
"Our warranty supervisor, Kevin Witchel, and the Siena service team perform quality assurance inspections on every home before the home is presented to the owner. Siena has had several `zero-item walk-throughs,' meaning absolutely no problems were found when the owners examined the home. We all take tremendous pride in our homes and in our Siena community," he said. "We are part of that community."
Coyle said several residents have sent letters to him in praise of his staff.
"I find it amazing that people who are busy moving into a new home would take the time to write to us about the customer service they are receiving at Siena," he said. "I think that says a lot about our Siena construction and customer service teams. But it also says a lot about our great Siena residents."
One letter, Coyle said, praised service representative Terry Mosinski. Written by residents William and Virginia Ade, the letter stated, "During our marriage, we have purchased 12 new homes as our primary residences. We felt that the walk-through of our house in Siena was the very best. Terry Mosinski was both courteous and knowledgeable. He treated us with respect and took the time to explain every detail about the house and your warranty."
"I got another letter suggesting we have (service representative) Bryon Schoenfeld cloned," Coyle said.
Max and Linda Friedman recently bought a home at Siena. The couple, longtime residents of Manhattan, had never owned a home of their own. "I was very impressed by how thorough and professional the walk-through was. We found it very helpful," Linda Friedman said.
Jaime Goldberg, Coyle's assistant, is delighted to assist homeowners.
"The first time people see their new homes at the demonstration walk-through, it can be overwhelming, especially learning about ... new appliances or amenities," Goldberg said. "That's why we are here for them. If I can't answer their questions, I find someone who can."
One feature that is demonstrated is the emergency porch light.
"If for any reason you can't get to a phone and you need help, you can hit a switch and your porch light will flash," Goldberg said. "Siena's security guards patrol the neighborhoods 24 hours a day. If neighbors see the flashing light, they can call 911 or the security guards at the entry gate. Knowing how that feature works could save someone's life."
Sunrise Colony Co., the developer, plans to build nearly 1,900 homes in the community. All homes are detached, single-story designs. Fourteen floor plans are available, ranging from 1,200 to about 3,000 square feet and priced from the mid-$150,000s to about $450,000.
Many homes will align the golf course, the first nine holes of which are open. The second nine are scheduled to open for play in June. Residents receive special rates and preferred tee times.
An 11,800-square-foot golf club is planned to include a pro shop, multi-tiered practice facility and restaurant.
A fitness center is scheduled to open in October. The 15,900-square-foot facility will feature a cardiovascular and weight room, saunas, steam rooms, massage rooms, and an outdoor swimming pool. Other amenities will include a wellness and diagnostic center, lighted tennis courts, boccie courts, and additional pools, including a lap pool.
To tour the model complex, take Sahara Avenue to Town Center Drive and turn south. Proceed past Desert Inn Road and follow the signs. Sales office and model hours are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Sunrise Colony Co. is also developing Red Rock Country Club, a golf course community in Summerlin.
