Canyon Willow tax promotion continues
Three days remain in a promotion offering free tax preparation at the Canyon Willow Tropicana condominium development. Scheduled through Tuesday, the service applies only to those filing a 1040A or 1040EZ return.
According to sales agent Ron Filipovic, the service is designed to show prospective buyers the tax advantages of owning a home.
"We have been providing this service for more than a week, and prospective home buyers have been surprised to see the huge difference homeownership can make with regard to their tax obligations," Filipovic said. "Along with the obvious financial advantages of homeownership, these prospective buyers are also learning how easy it can be to get out of the rent trap and begin building equity in their own Canyon Willow Tropicana home."
The service is offered at the complex's sales office between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Appointments may be scheduled. Participants should bring all necessary tax materials to the office.
The gated complex, developed by Canyon Willow Builders, offers floor plans ranging from a one-bedroom, one-bath model to a home with as many as three bedrooms and two baths. Homes measure from 695 to 1,228 square feet and are priced from the high $60,000s to low $100,000s.
Qualified buyers may have a total move-in cost of $854 and monthly payments of $789 for a two-bedroom, two-bath home, according to Filipovic. The figure includes principal, interest, taxes, insurance and homeowners association fee. Thirty-day move-ins are available.
Each home includes a refrigerator, microwave oven, dishwasher, gas range, washer, dryer, window coverings, and a patio or balcony.
Also featured are ceramic-tile entry flooring, prewiring for ceiling fans, cultured-marble vanity tops, and owner baths with tubs and dual vanities.
Shared amenities include a swimming pool, spa, clubhouse and exercise room.
To visit, take Tropicana Avenue east, past Boulder Highway, then follow the signs. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
