Golf pro picks Stallion Mountain

     After working as a professional golfer at Stallion Mountain Country Club, Joe Kelly and his wife, Sandy, decided to call Pulte Homes' The Greens home.
      "I discovered Pulte Homes at Stallion Mountain after working there as a golf professional," Kelly said. "I loved the layout of the home I chose, especially the windows aligning the back of the floor plan which provides an incredible view of the golf course from both the great room and master suite."
      The Kellys chose the 2,476-square-foot Bay Hill model at guard-gated neighborhood. The home includes three bedrooms, a dining room or optional fourth bedroom/den, three baths, an owner suite with a sitting room, great room, kitchen with nook, and three-car garage.
      "My wife and I were very impressed with features such as the covered patio, sitting room off the master suite and the energy efficiency that would provide additional savings on our utility bills," Kelly said.
      The Greens, one of three neighborhoods at Stallion Mountain, offers four floor plans ranging from 2,300 to 2,881 square feet. Prices start at $203,990. Golf course and cul-de-sac lots are available.
      Homes feature 10-foot ceilings, owner suites, high-tech wiring, fireplaces, media niches, front-yard landscaping, covered patios, and covered porches and/or courtyards in select plans.
      Also located at Stallion Mountain are The Links and The Fairways neighborhoods.
      Homes at The Links range from 1,193 to 1,619 square feet and are priced from $123,990. The Fairways, priced from $155,990, offers four floor plans ranging from 1,540 to 2,300 square feet.
      All homes feature Energy Star and energy-saving features, which enable homes to use 30 percent less energy for heating, cooling and water heating than standard homes, according to the builder. Optional solar water heating systems are also offered.
      To visit, take Interstate 515 to Flamingo Road, go east, past Boulder Highway, and turn left into the community's entrance. Sales offices are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. except Monday, when they open at noon.
