Wexford opens model homes at Heather Ridge

     Model homes open today at Heather Ridge, a Wexford Homes' neighborhood in North Las Vegas.
      "We were busy during pre-construction, but the completion of these beautiful model homes will undoubtedly lead to even more sales," Barbara Barnett, director of sales, said.
      Nearly 10 homes sold at the neighborhood last weekend.
      "The extensive research and vast creative resources involved in the creation of Heather Ridge have resulted in a new neighborhood that offers home buyers more luxury, convenience and features for their money.
      "Now that the models are open, buyers will be able see, firsthand, the incredible degree of value these homes offer for such an exceptionally competitive price," Barnett said.
      The homes are priced from $59 per square foot.
      The one- and two-story homes are priced from $149,800 to $193,990.
      Floor plans range from 1,831 to 3,248 square feet. Homes are available with as many as six bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths and a three-car garage.
      Home sites are a minimum of 6,000 square feet.
      A computer design system allows buyers to modify the basic floor plans, adding casitas, secondary suites, family rooms, lofts, dens, media centers, one or more bedrooms, formal dining rooms, bonus rooms, offices or wet bars. Rooms and garages can also be extended or combined.
      Options include Corian, granite or ceramic-tile counter tops; fireplaces in the family rooms, living rooms or owner suites; skylights; and custom paint.
      Upgrades are available with appliances, cabinets, electrical and plumbing fixture packages, computer wiring systems and security systems.
      Interiors feature vaulted ceilings, plant shelves, rounded corners, cabinets in a choice of colors, owner suites with garden tubs and walk-in closets in some plans, laundry rooms, and prewiring for cable TV and telephones.
      Each home comes with a 10-year warranty.
      To visit, take Craig Road to Kings Hill Road, which is west of Commerce Street, then go west.
      The sales office and models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
