Couple starts married life at Serena
Anamarie and James Pemberton III will be busy this holiday season. Having just married in November, they are planning for their new home at Serena, a neighborhood in North Las Vegas developed by Coventry Homes.
"I hadn't even moved to Las Vegas when we bought the house," Anamarie Pemberton said. "James went to Serena with a friend and brought all of the information and floor plans to me in Utah."
She immediately liked the layout of the San Juan floor plan. The 1,629-square-foot home has three bedrooms, two baths, two-car garage and optional den.
"As soon as I walked in the San Juan, I knew it was the one I wanted," she said. "It has so much light and a real feeling of home. It felt bigger than other homes we had seen, even when they had more square footage.
"I like the privacy of the master bedroom being on the other side of the house from the other bedrooms. And I love the kitchen. I really like having a bar that separates the kitchen from the breakfast nook. And there are a lot of windows in the kitchen, which makes it look really bright."
Kitchens include ceramic-tile counter tops, oak cabinetry and basic appliances.
Anamarie Pemberton said there were several other features in the home that made it irresistible.
"I like the convenient laundry area. Now I can do other things while I'm doing the laundry. I also like the convenient patio entrance from the master bedroom," she said. "We got a home theater system included as standard with our house. Who could resist that?"
All homes include a home theater package with flush-mounted speakers, a receiver, VCR and 32-inch television.
The neighborhood offers four floor plans with 1,629 to 2,802 square feet. Prices start from the mid-$120,000s to mid-$160,000s.
To visit, take Craig Road west to Clayton Road, go north to Lone Mountain Road, head west to Tierra de las Palmas Drive and follow the signs.
The sales office and model homes are open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Friday, when they open at 10 a.m.
