First models open at Lynbrook
Model homes open today at Cedar Grove, a Beazer Homes neighborhood at Lynbrook, a planned community in the northwest valley. The models are the first to open at the 275-acre development, which will comprise more than 1,200 homes in 10 neighborhoods built by seven developers.
Cedar Grove's floor plans range from 1,343 to 2,479 square feet with as many as six bedrooms and 2 3/4 baths. Homes are priced from the low $120,000s. Buyers can choose from four single-story designs and one two-story plan.
"We're very proud to be a part of this unique community of Lynbrook," Patty Artist, marketing manager at Beazer, said.
Harvey Stearn, president of Southwest Communities Inc. and developer of Lynbrook, said planned amenities include weeping willows, Australian willows and pine trees, in addition to grass areas, and neighborhood parks with benches. Throughout the community will be ponds, brooks, dry creeks, wishing wells, foot bridges and a water wheel, he said.
Other participating builders are: Pulte Homes, American Premiere Homes, Desert Wind Homes, Kimball Hill Homes, Southwest Homes and Developers of Nevada.
Homes within the gated development will range from 1,250 to 3,100 square feet and be priced from the $110,000s. Half-acre custom-home sites will also be available.
A grand opening for the community is scheduled in April 2000.
To visit, take U.S. Highway 95 to Craig Road, head east to Jones Boulevard, then go north about four miles to Severance Lane.
Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 1 p.m.
