Northern Nevadans enjoy `small-town' feel of Weston

Amy and Craig Bullis chose Coventry at Anthem when it came time for them to buy a home. With their sons, 2-year-old Gavin and 3-month old Logan, they realized it was just a matter of time before they would become occupied by school and extra-curricular activities.

"We spent a lot of time looking at homes all over the valley, but when it came to convenience and neighborhood amenities, there was no match for Coventry at Anthem," Amy Bullis said.

Having recently moved from the Reno area, the family liked the small-town atmosphere that they had in Northern Nevada and found it at the builder's Weston neighborhood.

"I would have to say that the most important selling feature for us both at Coventry was the area itself. With views of the desert and mountains, and the beautiful planning that Del Webb put into the entire Anthem community, we immediately felt right at home here," said Craig Bullis, who relocated due to his position with a gaming company in Henderson.

Anthem Park will be one of the facilities near the couple's home. It will include baseball and soccer fields, which they believe their sons will use in coming years.

The home itself, obviously, was also an important consideration.

"...When we saw the Cambridge model at Coventry, we both fell in love with the floor plan, which we feel is so unique and creative, and also very logical," Craig Bullis said.

The Cambridge features a central courtyard with sleeping areas on one side and living areas on the other.

"Now we can relax a little and not worry if we're being too loud. Plus, both Gavin and Logan will have their own rooms with an adjacent bath, and we really liked that feature," Craig Bullis said.

The Bullises have already made plans for decorating and landscaping their home when it is completed early in January. They appreciated the opportunity to buy a premium-size lot with a southeastern facing.

"Coming from Reno, we got used to having a large lot, so when we found that Coventry had oversized lots available -- and that they included a north-south exposure -- those were just two more deciding factors," Craig Bullis said.

Homes range from 2,034 to 2,700 square feet, and are priced from $198,990.

The models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sales are under way on the last phase of homes.

To visit, take Eastern Avenue south to Anthem Parkway, and follow the road to Reunion Drive. Turn east on Reunion Drive, south on Cornet Street, and then west on Spirito Avenue.
