Christopher Collection leaves design choices to buyers

Luxury home buyers will find appealing home designs, home site selections and customizing opportunities at The Christopher Collection at Southern Highlands, according to sales agent Teresa Tebbs.

Builder Christopher Homes offers 16 basic floor plans and allows buyers to modify the plans significantly. Additionally, each model features four different exterior designs and 10 color schemes.

"Home buyers at The Christopher Collection can experience the unique luxury of creating their own customized dream home, thanks to a number of unique benefits provided by Christopher Homes," Tebbs said. "First, we include a $25,000 allowance in the base price that is earmarked specifically for customizing options."

An on-site architectural designer can assist buyers in customizing their homes.

"Each of our buyers also receives free consultation with a professional designer. ...," Tebbs said. "Our designers are also highly familiar with each of the 16 residential designs in The Christopher Collection, and they can provide expert advice regarding just about every aspect of designing the interior of the homes. They can help clients with such items as electrical, plumbing, flooring, counter tops and cabinetry and also provide assistance with the selection of window coverings, wall coverings and a complete choice of other options and accessories."

Prices start from the mid-$400,000s to the high $600,000s.

About 75 percent of the 98 homes in the neighborhood will be situated along the Southern Highlands Golf Club.

The homes are being built on one-quarter-acre home sites that offer a variety of views.

The single- and two-story homes range from 3,000 to 6,200 square feet. Possible additions include elevators, motor courts, courtyard fireplaces, casitas, room additions, four-car garages, extra baths, bonus rooms, libraries, wine cellars and wet bars.

Standard amenities include stainless-steel appliances, a choice of hardwood cabinetry and granite counter tops.

The Southern Highlands Golf Club provides 24-hour roving security, a guarded entrance, concierge services, parks and other recreational facilities. Comprised of semicustom and custom homes, the enclave is located on the southern edge of the 2,300-acre Southern Highlands master-planned community in the southwestern valley.

A 220-acre, 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr., features streams, lakes and waterfalls.

The country club features a clubhouse with locker rooms, a pro shop, mixed grill, snack bar, dining, a wine room, six fireplaces, and a library.

A sports complex will include a fitness center, personal trainer, massage therapist, tennis courts, swimming pools, steam rooms and a spa.

Christopher provides its buyers with a free social membership to the country club.

To visit, take Interstate 15 south to Lake Mead Drive and go west, following the signs to the guarded entrance. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
