-- Concordia Homes and State Insulation collected more than 100 toys from employees and subcontractors to be donated to Candelighters for Childhood Cancer of Southern Nevada. The toys will be used for hospital visits, a children's holiday party and to fill toy boxes at local clinics.

-- The Thomas & Mack Development Group is set to break ground on a 55,000- square-foot single-story office building at the Las Vegas Technology Center II. The building will be complete and ready for occupancy in March 2003. Estimated project costs are $6 million.
