Pacific Southwest customizes homes in Tuscan Cliffs

New Millenium Custom Homes present design options in Southern Highlands

SPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE

Two decades of designing custom homes in Las Vegas has led Pacific Southwest Development to create its New Millennium Custom Home program at Tuscan Cliffs, according to Kristi Kramer, vice president of the company.

The program allows buyers to customize interiors and exteriors, including back yards, electronics systems, room configurations, built-ins and appliances, with the assistance of an interior designer, according to the developer.

"We believe we've found an excellent compromise for the buyer who wants something more personal than a production home, but doesn't want to go through the time-consuming process of building a custom residence," Kramer said.

"We present an enormous array of choices through our design center, and if we don't already offer that special feature you've always dreamed of, we do our best to accommodate."

Tuscan Cliffs is a guard-gated enclave within the Southern Highlands community.

The Tuscan-inspired neighborhood features four basic models with options to choose from more than 50 floor plans and multiple elevations.

Once buyers have selected a floor plan, the program provides a series of consultations with the program's interior designer.

The New Millenium Custom Home design studio offers interior selections, beginning with kitchen designs which include a variety of cabinet and countertop colors and styles, specialty fixtures and appliances.

Kitchen design options include warming drawers, wine refrigerators, vegetable sinks, triple-basin sinks, pot fillers and concealable oven control panels.

Faucets and sinks all come in a variety of finishes. Buyers have a choice of appliance brands, including Wolf, Viking and Sub-Zero.

"We offer a once in a lifetime opportunity to our buyers by assisting them in the creation of their dream home." Kramer said. "When deciding on what to offer, we pay close attention to every detail and concentrate on the latest cutting-edge products. Our experienced and dedicated design team loves to help you put your personal touch on every room."

The builder places buyers in touch with electronics technicians for highly customized areas, such as home theaters and intercom systems, lighting packages, home theater and sound systems.

Experts in flooring and additional design are also consulted as buyers select options during the design process.

"Electronics and home security are very important to many people today." Kramer said.

"Often a family will spend weeks working with the electronics experts to make sure their home is wired to their exact specifications."

Additional design upgrades include glass-block accents, elevators, ceiling treatments, exterior and interior stone trim, footlights and ornate spindling on stairways, iron and wood front doors, custom closets, wine cellars and Kohler Jacuzzi tubs.

Standard amenities include paver stone driveways, sand-finished stucco exteriors, stainless steel appliances, 42-inch maple cabinets, granite countertops, 6-foot garden tubs, wood-clad Andersen windows, Kohler plumbing fixtures and structured wiring systems.

The homes range from 4,328 to 5,441 square feet in their base configurations and as much as 6,000 square feet with various options.

Each model showcases balcony and deck elevations, many of which offer views of the Las Vegas Valley, the adjacent golf course or nearby mountains. Each home comes with a courtyard and rear patio.

Exterior design options include an outdoor kitchen with a full set of appliances and disappearing glass doors.

Buyers may add custom swimming pools, spas, cabanas, fire pits, outdoor fireplaces and landscaping options directly through the subcontractor.

Premium lots, including mountainside home sites with views, offered in future phase releases, are available.

All home sites measure at least one-quarter acre and homes meet Energy Star standards. Base prices range from $1 million to $1.25 million.

For a limited time, the builder will pay one year of dues for a social membership to the Southern Highlands Golf Club with each purchase of a new home in the neighborhood, subject to application approval.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to the St. Rose Parkway exit and go west.

Drive north on Southern Highlands Parkway and proceed to Stonewater Lane, then turn left and follow the signs.

Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Monday when it opens at 1 p.m.
