Grand opening, pet adoption day set at Copperfield

Today's grand opening of the model homes at U.S. Home's Copperfield neighborhood serves a dual purpose, according to Steve Hackney, president of the builder's Las Vegas Division. Hackney said visitors can see firsthand the builder's commitment to offer the latest innovations in new-home technology and bring families together with a loving animal in need.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., representatives will demonstrate the Lutron RadioRA wireless home lighting system, which is an included feature in each of the builder's homes contracted for purchase before April 30; and a pet adoption event in conjunction with the Las Vegas Valley Humane Society.
"Once we saw a demonstration of how the RadioRA system works, we knew immediately this feature was a perfect match for our home buyers," Hackney said. "It is a completely new control system and an amenity that will give our home buyers both convenience and safety.
"And, our pet adoption days have been so successful over the years -- finding caring homes for dozens of wonderful dogs and cats -- so what better way to celebrate a grand opening than include our homeless animals from the humane society?"
Gifts and refreshments will be available.
Copperfield is comprised of five new floor plans plus four designs from the builder's Laureate Series.
      The new plans are:
The Tiburon, which measures 2,167 square feet with three bedrooms, two baths and a den. A three-car garage is standard, while a study with a bath and owner retreat are optional. This home is priced from $184,990.
The San Franciscan offers three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a den and an upstairs game room in 2,567 square feet. Options include a fourth bedroom in lieu of the game room and/or an additional bedroom and full bath on the first floor. Other options include an owner retreat, extended family room and office. The home is priced from $199,900.
The Cherryhill II is a 2,594-square-foot, single-story home with four bedrooms and two baths. A three-car garage and covered entry are included, as are formal dining and living rooms. The family room opens to the kitchen with a nook, breakfast bar and pantry. Options include an additional half bath, a fifth bedroom with a bath, and an owner retreat. The home is priced from $198,990.
The two-story Sausalito model measures 3,001 square feet and is priced from $209,990. Features include an upstairs owner suite with walk-in closets, a loft, den, 2 1/2 baths and a three-car garage. Options include a fourth bedroom in lieu of a loft, a bay window in the kitchen, and a kitchen island workstation.
Also a two-story home, the Pacific Heights measures 3,077 square feet and is priced from $215,990. The owner suite features a walk-in closet, dual-sink vanities, and a separate tub and shower. The laundry room and an optional fourth bedroom are located upstairs.
One home from the Laureate Series is a single-story floor plan. It is the Brentwood plan, which can be built with four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths in 3,070 square feet.
The two-story Thousand Oaks model, with 3,229 square feet, offers five bedrooms and options that include a den, veranda and loft.
The 3,880-square-foot San Clemente plan can be expanded to more than 4,200 square feet, and offers five bedrooms, three baths, 19-foot ceilings, a family room and den.
The Beverly Hills model can be expanded from its standard 3,558 square feet to more than 3,800 square feet. Features include five bedrooms, a den and 2 1/2 baths. Options include a loft, an owner retreat, a sixth or seventh bedroom, and 3 1/2 baths.
Homes in the Laureate Series start from the mid-$200,000s.
To visit Copperfield, take U.S. Highway 95 to Ann Road, go east to Jones Boulevard, and then drive north to Azure Drive, following the signs.
