San Michelle hosts reception for American Heart Association

Christopher Homes recently sponsored a party for supporters of the 14th annual Heart of Gold Ball to benefit the local chapter of the American Heart Association. The company's San Michelle neighborhood, located in the guard-gated Queensridge community, hosted the event, which recognized the contributions of individuals and organizations toward the ball.
This year's two top sponsors were the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation and Southwest Gas Corp. More than $60,000 was raised for the ball, which had the theme "An American in Paris," and was held Saturday evening at Paris Las Vegas.
On hand to welcome the more than 65 guests, were members of the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes. Guests also enjoyed catered treats and refreshments.
Erika Geiser, vice president of marketing for the builder, said the party was representative of many charitable functions the company helps each year.
"We periodically host events like this for worthwhile organizations such as the American Heart Association," Geiser said. "Their efforts are admirable and our luxurious model homes are perfect for entertaining on a grand scale like this. We hope our contribution to the 2000 Heart of Gold Ball will once again help to make it an outstanding success for everyone involved."
Donna DeVries, area director of the American Heart Association, expressed gratitude toward Christopher Homes and the other companies and individuals participating in the event.
"We sincerely appreciate this gesture on the part of Christopher Homes and all of our other sponsors and committee members," DeVries said. "Their generous support ensures that we will have the resources to continue serving the needs of the rapidly growing Las Vegas area."
The builder is offering incentives of as much as $30,000 on upgraded homes that can be ready for move-in within 30 days.
The neighborhood offers one- and two-story floor plans, ranging from 3,474 to 5,200 square feet, on home sites measuring from one-quarter acre to one-half acre. Options include detached guest quarters, four-car garages, secondary suites, extra baths, bonus rooms, libraries, wet bars and courtyard fireplaces.
      Prices start from $418,000.
Select Residence Two, Residence Three and Residence Four floor plans are available with incentives. They include one- and two-story designs, and several are along the golf course.
Exteriors feature concrete-tile roofs, wrought-iron accents, brick and stone treatments, 8-foot double entry doors, and courtyards in select plans.
Various models include interior columns, high ceilings, security systems and prewiring for home theater systems.
Architects and interior designers can help buyers with options.
To visit, take Charleston Boulevard west, past Rampart Boulevard, to the entrance of Queensridge. Models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
