Exec: Weston home site release nets strong turnout

Coventry Homes received a strong response to the announcement that 15 new home sites would be released last weekend at its Weston neighborhood in Anthem, according to R. Wayne Wermuth, sales manager.
"Much of the enthusiasm is over the larger home sites at Weston. Weston's new home sites are a minimum of 7,200 square feet," he said. "We have also added a new single-level floor plan that features 2,415 square feet of living area, along with a three-car garage."
He said the builder studied the market for several months before deciding to offer additional home sites at the neighborhood, which will include more than 198 homes at buildout.
"Through public response we realized the need to continue our Weston product," Wermuth said. "This community really attracts the family buyer because homes at Weston can have as many as six bedrooms and five baths."
Four floor plans are offered, including: the Oxford, a single-story, 2,034-square-foot home with four bedrooms, a den, two baths and a split three-car garage; the Princeton, a two-story design with four bedrooms, a home office, 3 1/2 baths and a two-car garage; the Harvard, a two-story home with four bedrooms, a den, 2 1/2 baths and a split three-car garage; and the Cambridge, a single-story, 2,411-square-foot home with four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a three-car garage.
Homes are priced from the $180,000s to $210,000s.
Standard features include brick and stone exterior veneers, built-in appliances, microwaves, telephone and cable prewiring, and garage service doors.
Guest suites are also available with some plans.
Several community amenities are also offered.
"The community amenities also include a linear park that is about one-half mile long. It has basketball courts, frisbee golf and a soccer practice area," Wermuth said. "And we expect construction to start in the first quarter of the year on Anthem's 55-acre park that will include soccer fields, baseball, tennis courts, sand volleyball, swimming pool and other items."
The neighborhood is part of the 5,000-acre Anthem master plan, in the foothills of Henderson's Black Mountains.
To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, two miles past Lake Mead Drive. Models are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
