Townhome buyer touts location of Kensington

After searching for two months through nearly 40 neighborhoods, Thomas Brady decided that Kensington, a Trophy Homes townhome development, offered the features and value he wanted in a home.
"First, I like this part of town because it is convenient to everything I need and close to my son's home," Brady said. "Then, I saw the models and overall design of Kensington and I was sold. These homes are situated in a nice, quiet area, with lots of trees, little traffic and very few cars on the streets. Also, there are one- and two-story homes, yet there are no situations where one person is living upstairs or downstairs from their neighbor."
The gated townhome development has one- and two-story townhomes available, ranging from 1,211 to 1,649 square feet.
All homes come with two-car garages, side-yard landscaping with irrigation, a patio, block walls and a security system.
Prices start from the low $110,000s.
Brady was impressed by the floor plans.
"I have a basically maintenance-free lifestyle here, but I didn't have to sacrifice on space for convenience," he said. "I chose a large, two-story model, which has everything I need for day-to-day living on a single level, plus plenty of extra room upstairs for when guests come to visit. Most of all, I was happy to get a two-car garage with my home, which gives me plenty of space to park, as well as extra space for a home workshop. Everything about this home suits me perfectly."
The development features a gated entry, tree-lined streets, a swimming pool and a spa.
To visit, take Charleston Boulevard to Arville Street and go south. Office hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
