Jason Marker of Prudential Americana Realtors will hold a seminar at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, explaining how to buy a house with little or no money down. Jon Garmon will hold another seminar on the same subject at 6 p.m. Thursday. Both seminars will be conducted at 2625 Green Valley Parkway in Henderson.

Step workshop
planned at UNLV
The American Society of Interior Designers will sponsor a "Step Workshop," beginning Friday and ending Sunday. The event will be held at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, School of Architecture, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.
It is designed for interior design professionals planning to take the NCIDQ test in April. The tuition is $200 for ASID members and $265 for nonmembers.

The Las Vegas Custom Home Network will sponsor a free seminar for prospective custom-home builders at 10 a.m. Saturday at Canyon Gate Country Club, 2001 Canyon Gate Drive.

Mayor to speak
at exploration forum
Mayor Oscar B. Goodman will speak at the Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies' annual Career Exploration Forum, which is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 23 in Beam Hall, Room 242, on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus.
Also, a panel representing Southern Nevada's commercial real estate industry will discuss career opportunities. Lunch will be served.

The local National Association of Office and Industrial Properties chapter is sponsoring the 2000 Spotlight Awards Dinner in honor of the best commercial projects.

bus tour planned
The National Council on Seniors' Housing will sponsor a preview of three age-qualified communities under development from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 15.
The bus tour will start from the Las Vegas Hilton. A boxed lunch and refreshments will be served.

SNHBA offers
home sales class
The Southern Nevada Home Builders Association and National Association of Home Builders are sponsoring the Certified New Home Sales Professional program.
The 36-hour, 12-class training program is designed to improve the performance of new-home sales agents.
The course is scheduled for April 3-28 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Southern Nevada School of Real Estate, 3441 W. Sahara Ave. It is approved by the state of Nevada for 18 hours of continuing education credit.
