Miranda Robinson recently purchased a new home at Lennar's Diamond Creek neighborhood within the Mountain's Edge master-planned community in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley.
She will share the two-story residence with her 4-year-old son, Keean, and two dogs.

"One of the primary reasons I purchased at Diamond Creek was the value," said Robinson, a native of Southern Nevada and a first-time home buyer. "I also loved the amenities the community will offer when it's completed."
Two neighborhood parks and walking paths are planned. Additionally, Mountain's Edge is planned to include several parks and other recreational amenities.
She plans to move to the gated neighborhood later this month. Her two-story home, called the Princess plan, measures 1,709 square feet with three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. It is priced from $328,990.
Robinson pointed out that she was impressed by the builder's Everything's Included package, which provides miniblinds, garage door openers, solid-surface counter tops, and an appliance package (except a washer and dryer).
"That's a big deal, especially for the first-time buyer," she said. "You don't have a ton of options you need to worry about with Lennar because of the package. There's enough stress in buying a new home and they're making it easier for me. They also have the Everything's Included mortgage, which covers a lot of your closing costs."
Three other two-story floor plans are available.
The Baguette measures 1,384 square feet with three bedrooms and three baths. It is priced from $295,990.
The Emerald is a 1,627-square-foot design three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. It starts at $317,990.
Priced from $345,990 is the Marquise, which has four bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths in 1,872 square feet.
The subdivision will comprise 190 residences at buildout.
To visit, take Interstate 15 to Blue Diamond Road, head west to Buffalo Drive, go south to Richmar Avenue and turn right.
The sales office and models are open from 10 a.m to 5 p.m. daily except Mondays, when they open at noon.
The builder has 23 neighborhoods in development in Southern Nevada.
