Pardee Homes' Landry reappointed to state commission
n Ray Landry, assistant vice president of sales for Pardee Homes has been appointed to serve a second three-year term on the state of Nevada Real Estate Commission. Announcing the reappointment, then-Gov. Bob Miller cited a "special trust and confidence in the ability, loyalty and integrity of Ray Landry." The Pardee executive most recently served as president of the commission. He has been in the real estate industry for 28 years, 25 of them with Pardee. The commission is an advisory body to the Real Estate Division of Nevada's Department of Business and Industry. It adopts regulations establishing industry standards and conducts hearings to enforce those standards. He is married to Insight Realty Associates' Marge Landry, who is president-elect of the Commercial Investment Division of the Greater Las Vegas Board of Realtors.
n Shelley Caiazzo has been appointed to the post of director of membership sales and marketing for the proposed Southern Highlands Golf Club, which is to be the hub of a new residential development planned for the area west of Interstate 15 between Lake Mead Drive and Cactus Avenue. The club will be limited to 360 memberships. The golf course will be designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Robert Trent Jones Jr.
n Lawyers Title of Nevada has appointed Penny Scamaldo to the post of senior escrow officer. Bernadette Roth was appointed Scamaldo's assistant. They will work out of the branch office at 401 N. Buffalo Drive. The 21-year veteran of the escrow and title markets, Scamaldo was earlier employed by Land Title of Nevada. She is a member of the Nevada Escrow Association and the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors.
n Clark County Recorder Judy Vandever has appointed Colleen Turturro to the post of assistant county recorder. Turturro formerly worked in the office of former Rep. John Ensign. She replaces Jeff Jaegar who left county service to enter the private sector.
n GVA Industrial Property Group's Joe Feno and Dean Willmore represented Gary, Renee and Glenn W. Lane in the sale of a 21,000-square-foot building at 4620 Andrews St., North Las Vegas, to Wells Fargo Bank as Trustee of the JEEG Trust for $1.1 million. In another transaction, the Group's Xavier Wasiak represented Quality Transportation Services in the one-year lease of 9,025 square feet at 4301 S. Valley View Blvd. from Terra Grandis for $48,735. In another transaction, the Group's Joe Feno and Art Farmanali represented both parties in the three-year lease of 5,600 square feet at 2710 E. Patrick Lane by the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino from Gerald Butler for $124,440. Feno and Farmanali also represented Bill Ickes in the two-year lease of 1,700 square feet at 4125 Arctic Spring Ave., North Las Vegas, to Greg Bartow for $32,886.
n CB Richard Ellis' Christina Roush and Charles Moore negotiated the sale of the 8,500-square-foot University Medical Center building at 525 Marks St. by Intercapital Development to Rick and Joylin Vandenberg and Shirley Swanson for $2.7 million.
n R.O.I. Commercial Real Estate's Matt Bear represented FMP Renaissance III in the seven-year lease of 9,866 square feet at the northwest corner of Flamingo Road and Pecos Road to the Dahan Institute for $1.1 million.
n CB Richard Ellis' Brad Peterson and Randy Broadhead negotiated the sale of an 8,540-square-foot building at the southwest corner of Stephanie Street and Warm Springs Road by Galleria Corporate Center to Vegas Capital Co. for $1.1 million.

Commercial Real Estate's Matt Bear represented Retail Center Partners in the 10-year lease of 1,750 square feet at the southwest corner of Craig Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard to Panda Express for $475,000. In another transaction, Bear represented Tenaya Center Co. in the five-year lease of 1,190 square feet at the northeast corner of Lake Mead Boulevard and Tenaya Way to Park Avenue Cleaners for $154,000. He also represented Retail Center Partners in the five-year lease of 1,120 square feet at the southwest corner of Craig Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard to Lee's Nails for $119,000.
