Longtime Nevadan buys at Anthem Country Club
Bill Graham, a resident of Southern Nevada since 1951, is among the newest home buyers at Anthem Country Club, a Del Webb Corp. development in Henderson.
"I have watched this city grow and know about each and every community in the valley," said Graham, who has 20 years experience in the real estate industry. "Del Webb's quality is second to none and I couldn't wait to be a part of this country club community.
"I was especially excited that the development was in the foothills of southwest Henderson, because I have always loved that area. With the elevation at 3,000 feet, Anthem Country Club offers the best view of the city, especially from the golf course..."
Graham said among the other reasons he chose the guard-gated development was security. "My wife and I love that every home will have a security system."
There are four series of homes available, with 17 floor plans ranging from 1,275 to 3,961 square feet. Homes are priced from $159,000 to $424,000. Basements and casitas are available. Custom-home sites measure about half an acre and range to $750,000.
The championship golf course is under construction and scheduled to open for play in the spring. The clubhouse will provide dining and meeting facilities, locker rooms and a pro shop.
An athletic club is planned with facilities for exercising, swimming, basketball, sand volleyball and tennis. Included will be a full-service salon providing hair, nail, massage and facial services. A play area and pool-side cafe are also planned.
A trail system will link the neighborhoods to The Commons, a park with an amphitheater and event lawns.
About 1,500 homes will be built at the development, which comprises about 1,000 acres of the nearly 5,000-acre Anthem master-planned community. The community is on Eastern Avenue, about two miles south of Lake Mead Drive. The sales center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The developer has been active in Nevada since 1931, and builds communities for all generations including Anthem Country Club, Coventry Homes neighborhoods, Sun City Summerlin in Las Vegas, Sun City MacDonald Ranch in Henderson and Sun City Anthem in Henderson.
