Ex-Californian enjoys lifestyle at Equestrian

Saul Raul Coria said the Equestrian apartment complex by Picerne Development is more than just a place to live, it's also a place to enjoy life.
"It's almost like living at a resort," said Coria, an electrician who moved to Southern Nevada from Riverside, Calif. "It has great amenities; the pool is very nice and the exercise room has just about everything I would need. And since I'm a barbecue guy, its great that they have grills all throughout the property."
Coria said when he was searching for an apartment, he looked at three places before settling on The Equestrian.
"As an electrician, I can see the work that was put into a building," he said. "Everything was centered and there were many outlets (inside the apartment home). I got my testers out and went from room to room and tested everything. It all checked out nicely.
"Every time I go into the (leasing) office, there are a lot of smiling faces there. It also throws many parties. I've been to all of them. It's a good way to meet the neighbors," Coria said.
The apartments are in the MacDonald Ranch planned community.
Coria said maintenance crews are very responsive to his concerns.
"At some other places, maintenance will handle the problem when it is convenient to them," he said. "But (at The Equestrian) the residents come first, and that's very important."
There two pools and spas and an exercise room.
To visit, take Eastern Avenue south, past Lake Mead Drive, and follow the signs. The leasing office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.
Picerne Development also operates The Summit at Sunridge, another apartment development in the southeastern valley and The Borgata, which is in central Las Vegas. The developer has been in business since 1925 and has been in the Las Vegas Valley since July 1997.
