Realtor draws clients to Avante's Northbrook
More than a dozen of George Kuniuda-Green's clients have chosen Avante Homes' Northbrook in North Las Vegas. The local Realtor said the neighborhood fits the criteria of clients as well as himself.
"My credibility with my clients is paramount to my success," Kuniuda-Green said. "Therefore, before I'll recommend visiting a new home community, I first have to have full confidence in the builder, and second, believe that they will treat my buyer with the same consideration and integrity as I do myself. Naturally there's the third part of this equation, and that is determining whether the community, floor plans, and features suit my clients' needs."
Priced from the low $100,000s, the neighborhood features three- and four-bedroom homes in one- and two-story plans, ranging from 1,204 to 1,849 square feet.
"I become very involved with my buyers," said Kuniuda-Green, a Hawaii native. "At our first meeting we talk about their lifestyle, preferences as to size, location and price range and even discuss their `wish-list' of features. I think one of the reasons I've had so many of my buyers end up selecting a home at Northbrook is that it's a community that seems to appeal to a broad spectrum of buyers."
Tom and Davone Philavong are a young couple with careers and were looking to buy their first home.
"We liked George right away," Tom Davone said. "He really listened as we described what we were looking for in a home. When we visited Northbrook, it only took an instant to discover we'd hit upon the exact combination of floor plan, location and amenities that we'd been hoping for.
"I really enjoy how open the floor plan feels. There's a very nice feel to the home, and we've found it very easy to decorate and place our furniture. I also was very impressed by the sales people at Northbrook. They were very courteous and helpful throughout the entire buying process."
Another of Kuniuda-Green's clients, radio host Barbara Bidel, said she wanted a location with a view of Mt. Charleston.
"I'm ... very happy with the design of my new home," she said. "I've noticed some homes seem to have a good layout, but it's more an illusion created by professional decorators. My furniture works beautifully in my new home, and it's very comfortable as well as very livable."
Scott and Dorothy Gray recently moved from Wisconsin and were anxious to find just the right home.
"It's hard to move to a completely new city thousands of miles away from everything you're familiar with," Scott Gray said. "We trusted George to help us locate a home with the right combination of features, floor plan design, architecture and location."
"We knew we wanted to be removed from the more congested areas of town," adds Dorothy. "Finding our new home at Northbrook is as big treat as leaving behind the Wisconsin winters!"
The homes offer vaulted ceilings, pot shelves in most plans, ceramic-tile entries, oak cabinets, pedestal sinks in half baths and dual vanities in owner baths.
The models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
To visit, take Craig Road to Decatur Boulevard, head north to Ann Road, and then go east.
