View, location lure dentist to Stone Cliff

Construction on Glen Gallimore's Richmond American home at Stone Cliff was not scheduled for completion until mid-December, but he spent time at the site as though he had already moved in.
"I went there two, probably three nights a week just to take in the spectacular view," Gallimore said. From an eastward-facing window upstairs is an unobstructed view across the valley.
Gallimore, a dentist who moved to Las Vegas 14 months ago from San Diego, said the view wasn't the only factor motivating him to buy the home. The location and price were just as appealing.
"Buying a home can be a real learning experience," he said. "I even checked into the secondary market, but with the rapid building and low prices, I couldn't justify buying a used home. It was more wise to buy a new home. At Stone Cliff, the price was very fair and the location was very convenient for work."
He also appreciated the flexibility of the builder in designing the home.
"This home could've had up to six bedrooms," he said. "I gave up one bedroom in lieu of the three-car garage. I also opted for the formal dining room, and I substituted the loft upstairs for a fourth bedroom I plan to use as a media room."
The neighborhood features five single- and two-story models that range from 1,309 to 1,945 square feet. Some models offer as many as six bedrooms.
Homes are priced from the low to mid-$100,000s.
To visit, take Sahara Avenue to Cimarron Road and head west on Heather Rock Court. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
