Sun City hosts Super Bowl spectacular
Sun City Summerlin will kick off Super Bowl Weekend Saturday with a pre-game party at the community.
"Sun City Summerlin will be the place to be for a fun-filled Super Bowl kick-off party," said Sean Patrick, director of public and community relations with the Del Webb Corp. "The whole day will be filled with food, fun and of course, great prizes."
Among the prizes available will be three 36-inch televisions, replica jerseys of the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos, autographed footballs and the grand prize -- a 60-inch television.
To visit the community, take the U.S. 95 Expressway to Lake Mead Boulevard and head west, following the signs. The party is at the model home park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The sales office and model homes are open during the party from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Homes are priced from the $130,000s to more than $400,000, and floor plans range from 1,183 to 2,895 square feet.
Sun City Summerlin offers four community centers that provide workout rooms, aerobic dance studios, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and boccie ball courts, and horseshoe pits.
The centers also include rooms for woodworking, photography, painting, ceramics, quilting and model building.
In Henderson, the builder offers Sun City MacDonald Ranch, which features the same lifestyle on a smaller scale. Homes are priced from the low $100,000s to the low $180,000s, with floor plans ranging from 1,020 to 2,564 square feet. To visit, take Lake Mead Drive to Green Valley Parkway and then head south, following the signs. The sales office is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The developer's Anthem master-planned community has 33 model homes open in three developments: Anthem Country Club, a guard-gated country club; Sun City Anthem, an age-restricted property; and Coventry Homes at Anthem, which will build single-family homes.
Del Webb Corp. is the builder of Sun City developments nationwide, country clubs, and Coventry Homes neighborhoods throughout the Southwest.
