MacDonald Highlands features new custom lots
To accommodate a growing need, developer Rich MacDonald is increasing the number of custom lots at his MacDonald Highlands community in Henderson. A high rate of sales of custom-home sites in the city has resulted in a shortage, according to the builder. Eight custom-home neighborhoods are under development at the community. The home sites measure from one-third of an acre to three-quarters an acre and feature city or mountain views, as well as views of DragonRidge Country Club, MacDonald Highland's central amenity. Prices start from $220,000 to $3.5 million. At buildout, MacDonald Highlands will contain 14 custom-home neighborhoods on its 1,200 acres. Several community parks, in addition to 5 miles of fitness trails, are planned. The parks will encompass about 10 acres, and among them will be tennis, basketball and volleyball courts; playgrounds; and picnic facilities. Construction is anticipated to be completed in November on the clubhouse, which will have a pro shop, exercise facility, swimming pool, and casual and fine dining opportunities. The information office is located at 1700 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway, Suite 100. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Valle Verde Drive, turn south and proceed to Horizon Ridge Parkway. Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
