     n The Department of Housing and Urban Development has honored the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors with a Best Practice award for its efforts in promoting fair housing. The award will be presented at the Best Practice 2000 Symposium next month in Washington, D.C.
      n E. Thomas Naseef, managing broker of Coldwell Banker Commercial ETN Real Estate Services, has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.
      n The PR Group, a Las Vegas-based public relations firm, has been selected by Las Ventanas at Summerlin to provide public relations, consulting and media relations services. Las Ventanas, a life-care facility, is a project of Westport Senior Living of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Greystone Communities of Dallas.
      n David Fordham of Re/Max Absolute represented The Shop Enterprises in its 35-month lease of 3,648 square feet at 6360 S. Pecos Road from Pecos Partners, represented by Bob Miller of Great American Capital Corp., for $110,000.
      n Profed Mortgage has changed its name to Provident Bank Mortgage. The California-based company has an office in Las Vegas at 7720 W. Sahara Ave., Suite 106.
      n John and Paul Sweetland of Sweetland Industrial Inc. represented both parties in the sale of 6,825 square feet at 3802 Civic Center Drive to Shustek Investments Inc. for $409,500.
      n ATI Title of Nevada has opened an office at 1389 Galleria Drive, Suite 110, in Henderson.
      n Michael Belnick of Coldwell Banker Commercial ETN represented Harvey E. and Lucia Morris in the sale of a four-unit apartment building at 2871 Wheelwright Drive to Glenn Gardner, who was represented by Joe and Linda Stewart of Re/Max Realty, for $189,000.
      n DeAnna L. Goyhenetche of Millennium Commercial Real Estate Services represented EMG in a 37-month lease of 1345 square feet at 1455 E. Tropicana Ave. from Tropicana Office Investments for $66,981. In another transaction, Goyhenetche represented TJA Marketing in its 39-month lease of 5,088 square feet at 1050 E. Flamingo Road, Suite W250, from Euclid Street for $293,068.
      n Perry Muscelli of CB Richard Ellis represented Martin Harris Construction in the purchase of an 87,250-square-foot industrial complex at 3030 S. Highland Ave. from Highland Vegas Properties for $3.8 million. Kevin Higgins and Paul Hoyt represented Dermody Properties in the sale of 11.62 acres at Civic Center Drive and Gowan Road in North Las Vegas to American Stone for $1.5 million. In another transaction, Higgins and Hoyt represented Cheryl Irwin-Tesmer in the purchase of a 6,510-square-foot building at 6340 Hinson St. from SG&H No. 2 for $745,000. Higgins and Hoyt also represented Koll Valley View II in its three-year lease of 16,560 square feet at 6265 S. Valley View Blvd. to Interstate Hotel Installation for $300,000. Suzette LaGrange represented Zimmerman Properties in its five-year lease of 9,360 square feet at 3350 Pinks Place to Maximum Performance for $295,000. Randy Broadhead and Darren Lemmon represented IRP Legacy Convention Center Associates in their three-year lease of 11,208 square feet at 101 Convention Center Drive, Suite 840, to Harrison C. Stanton for $57,000. Bill Dunbar represented both parties in Flamingo Buffalo Center's five-year lease of 8,000 square feet at 3975 W. Buffalo Drive to Dollar Tree Stores for $435,000. Lemmon and Brad Peterson represented Bankers Life and Casualty Co. in the five-year lease of 2,200 square feet at 6085 W. Twain Ave. to Business Bank of Nevada for $230,000. Brad Myers negotiated two lease transactions at 1771 E. Flamingo Road on behalf of WXI-MCN Commercial Real Estate. One tenant, Jani-King of Las Vegas, will occupy 2,995 square feet for a three-year term. Patricia Michael Enterprises will occupy 940 square feet for a five-year term. Together, the transactions are valued at $286,000. Bill Dunbar represented Dollar Tree Stores in the five-year lease of 6,600 square feet at 1913 N. Decatur Blvd. from Lake Mead/ Decatur for $379,000.
      n Century 21 MoneyWorld's Mark Lefkowitz, Dave Abraham and Jay Jacobsen represented 8800 W. Sahara in the purchase of 5 acres at 8800 W. Sahara Ave. from K&F Limited Partnership, represented by Kevin Jacobsen of Galaxy Seven, for $2.6 million. In another transaction, Mark Lefkowitz represented 8800 W. Sahara in the seven-year lease of 16,000 square feet at 8800 W. Sahara Ave. to Century 21 MoneyWorld, represented by David Abraham, for $2.1 million.
      n Colliers International's Lizz Schafer and Tom Stilley represented McCarran Center in its sale of 118,098 square feet of land on White Road to Davis Brother Investments for $1.2 million. Matt Bear represented Retail Center Partners in its five-year lease of 1,750 square feet at 1531 W. Craig Road, Suite 10, to Jeffrey Henkes for $176,000. Bear again represented Retail Center Partners in its three-year lease of 1,050 square feet at 1527 W. Craig Road, Suite 4, to Christian Connection for $61,000. Michael G. DeLew, Spencer Pinter and Greg Pancirov represented Northwood Industries in its five-year lease of 2,131 square feet at 5030 S. Decatur Blvd., Suite F, to AEX for $102,856.
