Summerlin's June Millennium Baby selected
One-month old Alexis Michelle Weiss has been selected as Summerlin's Millennium Baby for the month of June.
Weiss, whose name was drawn from among about 100 others who were born that month at Summerlin Hospital, is now eligible to participate in a year-end prize drawing in which each month's `representative' baby will be entered.
The prize package includes the following: $2,000 in stock from The Rouse Co., parent of The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin; $2,000 in stock from Universal Health Services, parent of Summerlin Hospital Medical Center; a $2,000 college fund; $2,000 shopping spree at The Fashion Show mall; and $2,000 for participating in a promotional campaign for Summerlin.
The infant's parents are Sonny and Christy Weiss.
The Summerlin Millennium Baby program is sponsored by Hughes Corp. and the medical center as a celebration of all babies born in the community during the year 2000.
