Buyers await married life at Seven Hills

Kevin Taiclet and Amanda Welch are looking forward to October, which is when they will move into their new home in Seven Hills. Taiclet and Welch, who are engaged to be married, purchased a home at Palazzo Monte by U.S. Home.

Homes in the gated neighborhood range from 2,558 to 4,500 square feet and are priced from the $250,000s.

Taiclet was impressed by the size of the home he and Welch selected.

"We selected a one-story plan because of the openness and spaciousness of the home," he said. "The living areas are very roomy and offer lots of volume and light with high ceilings and plenty of windows.

"It's a wonderful home for the two of us, plus it provides extra room and privacy for Amanda's son, Chris, who is a student at the University of Arizona and visits us frequently."

The home is ideal for the couple's lifestyle, according to Welch.

"The design of our home affords a very spacious family room, where we'll be able to relax or watch TV, plus another large room that opens up to the patio and has more than enough space for a pool table," she said.

Taiclet and Welch were also impressed by the community's amenities.

"We've always wanted to live in this area," Taiclet said. "It's a beautiful environment with parks, landscaped open space areas, pleasant views and very little traffic. It feels like a real community, where people tend to be out walking and enjoying the parks and trails."

The parks provide basketball, volleyball and tennis courts; picnic areas; soccer and baseball fields; and playgrounds.

A development of Silver Canyon Partnership, Seven Hills is taking shape in the foothills of Black Mountain in Henderson. Eventually, the 1,300-acre community will comprise 25 neighborhoods and more than 3,000 homes.

Single-family homes are priced from the $140,000s to about $350,000. Custom-home sites are priced from the $180,000s to $1 million.

Neighborhoods open for sales are: Renaissance and Crescendo by Pardee Homes; Capistrano, Palermo West and Naples by Kimball Hill Homes; Palazzo Monte by U.S. Home; Meridiana by Trident Homes; the Venezia and Terracina custom neighborhoods by Silver Canyon Partnership; and Corcovado and Portofino Custom Homesites by Nevastar Investment Corp. Villa Villagio by Astoria Homes is planned.

To visit the sales and information pavilion, take St. Rose Parkway to Seven Hills Drive, which is about a half mile west of Eastern Avenue, and go south. The office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
