Woodside projects in final phase

Woodside Homes' Vintage and Premier neighborhoods, located in Southern Highlands, are in their final stages with fewer than a dozen homes available in each, according to the builder.

"The remaining homes at Vintage are actually in various stages of construction," Vicky Crichton, sales manager for the builder, said. "We have homes available for August, September and November move-ins."

Vintage features three two-story floor plans, ranging from 2,848 to 3,100 square feet and priced from $256,900. The remaining homes contain features such as bonus rooms, upgraded cabinetry and staircases, lofts and pre-plumbing for wet bars and laundry sinks.

"Buyers can still choose their counter tops and flooring when they purchase one of the remaining homes that are under construction," Crichton said.

Premier features two single-story floor plans and two two-story designs, ranging from 2,801 to 4,227 square feet on 8,000-square-foot lots.

All homes include three-car garages, granite counter tops, pantries, custom cabinetry, one standard fireplace with optional locations for additional fireplaces, upgraded lighting, and eight-foot interior and exterior doors. Prices start from the low $300,000s. A limited number of corner lots are available, according to Crichton.

Ben Prasad, a real estate broker, purchased a Premier home and will move in next month with his wife and four children.

"We liked all the standard features, the upgrades and the floor plan," said Prasad, a 20-year Las Vegas resident. "The master bedroom is separate from the other bedrooms, and we also liked the large kitchen and the way the family room is set just off the kitchen. The openness of the floor plan was very attractive to us."

More than 20 builders are developing neighborhoods within The Villages at Southern Highlands. The homes are priced from the $130,000s to the $400,000s.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to Lake Mead Drive and exit west, following the signs. Model homes are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
