Industry awards: Spotlight on City Centre PlaceSPECIAL TO REAL ESTATE
The Pauls Corp. took center stage at the Rio Hotel last night as the Southern Nevada chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties hosted its fifth annual Spotlight Awards gala. More than 500 industry professionals looked on as the Denver-based developer was twice honored by its peers for City Centre Place, a $16.5 million class-A office building at Fourth and Lewis streets in downtown Las Vegas. The project was recognized as the Best Building in the Market, as well as the Best Office Building, Large Scale. The architect was Hylton Designs and JMA Architecture Studios, and the general contractor was Martin-Harris Construction. Additional Honor Award winners by category, honoree and project were as follows. --Office Building, Small Scale: Swisher & Hall AIA, Crimson Canyon. --Office Building, Medium Scale: American Nevada Corp., 2285 Corporate Circle. --Light Industrial/Flex Building: American Nevada Corp., 2300 and 2310 Corporate Circle. --Warehouse/Distribution Project: MagnuM Opus, MagnuM Distribution Center. --Build-to-Suit, Small Scale: LND Construction, Johnson Jacobson & Wilcox CPA. --Build-to-Suit, Large Scale: Martin-Harris Construction, UBC Training Facility. --Public Works: Lucchesi Galati Architects, City of Henderson Water Quality Laboratory. --Interior: JMA Architecture Studios, Bank of America Plaza lobby remodel. Other awards included: --Trendsetter: Majestic Realty Co. --Principal Member of the Year: Greg Jones, American Nevada Corp. --Associate Member of the Year: R.R. "Casey" Jones, R&O Construction. --Special Recognition: Robert A. "Tim" Snow Jr., Thomas & Mack Development Group. Awards were also presented to local members for achievement in their fields: --Office Broker of the Year: Charles W. Witters. --Industrial Broker of the Year: Daniel J. Doherty. --Firm of the Year, architect: Howard Thompson. --Firm of the Year, general contractor: Jaynes Corp. --Firm of the Year, engineer: Southwest Engineering "This special event gives our association an opportunity to gather and recognize the companies and their leaders who strive to create and build the very best in Southern Nevada," chapter president Rod Martin said. The winners were determined by three judges representing the development, design and construction industries in Southern California.
