Floor plans offer vertical expansion at The Villas

Christopher Homes recently released the first home sites where buyers have the option of being able to add an additional level to their selected home at The Villas, a neighborhood within the 2,300-acre Southern Highlands Golf Club community. One-story plans can be expanded to two stories, and two-story designs can be expanded to three stories at the southwestern valley neighborhood, according to sales agent Terri Pickering.

"Christopher Homes is offering wide ranging design variations at The Villas, including the added second- and third-floor options," Pickering said. "While many of our buyers are choosing single-story homes, others are choosing the second and third levels to take maximum advantage of the magnificent golf course and city views. Also, the homes with added second and third stories can incorporate very interesting features such as second-floor casitas, covered rear terraces, large game rooms or entertaining rooms, secondary master suites, and many other possibilities."

Priced from the mid-$300,000s to the mid-$800,000s, the neighborhood offers seven designs that range from about 2,100 to more than 3,300 square feet.

Each home features a courtyard with an optional fireplace, a backyard terrace, covered patio, granite kitchen counter tops, and advanced wiring. Buyers have access to the builder's in-house design center.

The landscaping of the front yards and open spaces is handled through the homeowners association.

"The Villas offers elegant homes and a relaxed lifestyle for active singles and couples, as well as vacation-home buyers. It's a sensible alternative for buyers, who might otherwise consider purchasing an upscale condo in a more high density, urban environment. These are people who appreciate all that Las Vegas has to offer, but would prefer to own a luxurious single-family home in a more relaxed, country club setting," Pickering said.

"Many of the typical maintenance requirements of a detached home are taken care of by the association and the emphasis is on lifestyle."

The neighborhood is surrounded by the Southern Highlands Golf Course and several homes offer golf course, city and mountain views. Most are built on cul-de-sac streets with decorative pavers.

The guard-gated community features roving security, concierge services, and recreational facilities such as a planned sports and fitness center, swimming pool, tennis courts, and a 42,000-square-foot clubhouse. Christopher Homes provides each buyer at The Villas with a social membership to the Southern Highlands Golf Club, upon application approval.

To visit, take Interstate 15 south to Lake Mead Drive and exit west, following the signs. The models are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Christopher Homes is also building The Christopher Collection in the Southern Highlands Golf Club. The homes range from about 3,000 to more than 6,200 square feet and are priced from the high $400,000s to more than $1 million.

Buyers have a choice of 15 designs including five single-story plans and two two-story residences with main-level owner suites.
