Clubhouse manager assumes duties at Southern Terrace
Mark Wiley's background in recreation and collegiate sports make him a perfect fit for his new role as clubhouse manager at Perma-Bilt Homes' Southern Terrace Club. "I've always loved recreation and enjoy running such a beautiful club and meeting the residents of Southern Terrace," said Wiley, a 2001 graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The Buffalo, N.Y., native previously managed the Shadow Hills Club at the builder's Shadow Hills community in the northwestern valley. Thus far at the new facility, he said, the fitness room, which has free weights, treadmills and other equipment, has been the most popular area. Other features include an exercise room for aerobics and yoga classes. "With the weather warming up, I expect that our two swimming pools will soon become the popular spot with residents able to swim laps early in the morning and families able to enjoy the summer at the pool," Wiley said. Joining Wiley are assistants Josh Gaston and Katarina Hradilekova, who teach the fitness classes. The Southern Terrace community is located in the southwestern valley. The club is situated on a 2-acre site featuring a spa, adults-only swimming pool, family swimming pool, children's activity center, playground, barbecue area, fitness facilities, saunas, locker rooms and a massage facility. Neighborhoods within the community include Autumn Hills, Somerset, Ridgemont and Monterey. Together, they offer 15 floor plans ranging from 1,379 to 3,500 square feet. Prices start from the $150,000s to the low $300,000s. All homes carry the Comfort Wise and Energy Star designations, which reduce heating and cooling costs by 30 percent or more. Autumn Hills features four two-story plans that range from 1,563 to 1,953 square feet with as many as four bedrooms and options such as a loft. Prices start from the $150,000s. Somerset offers four plans ranging from 1,379 to 2,467 square feet. Prices start from the $150,000s. Among the options are bonus rooms, lofts, retreats, and as many as five bedrooms and three baths. The Estates at Southern Terrace encompasses the Ridgemont and Monterey neighborhoods, each of which will have a decorative gated entry. Ridgemont, an all single-story neighborhood, offers designs ranging from 2,223 to 2,759 square feet with as many as five bedrooms and four baths. Design elements include courtyard entries and split three-car garages. Prices start from the $230,000s. Monterey has two-story floor plans ranging from 2,860 to 3,541 square feet. The designs are semicustom in nature with features such as split three-car garages, retreats, courtyards, bonus rooms, patios, home offices, libraries, and as many as six bedrooms and four baths. Prices start from the low $300,000s. To visit, take Interstate 215 to Russell Road, go west to Fort Apache Road and turn left. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when it opens at 11 a.m.
