Course on
closings offered
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas, is offering a course on the process of a real estate closing from 6 to 9 p.m. March 30 in the Classroom Building Complex, Room C212.
Topics include reviewing the contract, ordering title examination, ordering the survey, termite inspections and escrow.

to meet
The Southern Nevada Mortgage Bankers Association will hold their quarterly breakfast meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday in the Gold Coast hotel. All mortgage industry professionals are welcome.
Richard Lee, director of public relations for First American Title, will discuss the latest market trends and the future of the Las Vegas market.

host convention
The local chapter of the Associated General Contractors is hosting the Associated General Contractors of America national convention Tuesday through Saturday at Alexis Park Resort. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.

CCSN continues
professional series
The Community College of Southern Nevada is continuing its Professional Growth Series Thursday and April 1 with a course titled "Hot Buttons of the '90s."
The six-week series comprises individual classes, including Career Management, Professional Winning and Growth Skills and Conquering Stress.
Classes are from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Sahara West Center at 2409 Las Verdes St., near Sahara Avenue and Valley View Boulevard.
Students receive continuing education credit for completing individual courses or the series. Tim Schneider, president and founder of Soaring Eagle Enterprises Inc., will facilitate the course work.
