Agent: Real estate field similar to entertainment

Paul May, a real estate agent and former Las Vegas entertainer, believes the two careers are similar.

"When you're on stage, you must impress your audience," said May, owner of Help-U-Sell Real Estate Solutions. "It's kind of the same thing in real estate because you must perform. You only get one chance to make a first impression, as the old saying goes."

He said real estate in the Las Vegas Valley is a solid investment.

"You can say that (some) homes have made Las Vegans more money in the last six months than many people make in a year," he said.

May's wife, Jennifer, also is a realty agent at Help-U-Sell. She, too, is a former Las Vegas entertainer.

"Jennifer went into real estate five years ago," May said. "One of the reasons ... was because we started our family and she needed a career change. Real estate was the ideal transition for her."

The company has a set listing fee of $2,950.
