Pulte proud to build in southwest

Pulte Homes offers two neighborhoods, Cortona Hills and Siena Ancora, in Southern Highlands, a 2,300-acre master-planned community near the foothills of the southwestern valley.

Cortona Hills offers four Tuscany-style single- and two-story floor plans ranging from 2,320 to 3,910 square feet. Prices start from $239,990 to $333,990.

Homes offer three to five bedrooms with 10-foot ceilings, breakfast nooks, lofts and home management centers. Among the room options are game rooms, libraries, exercise rooms, teen rooms, computer lofts and wine cellars.

Amenities include 42-inch cabinets with crown molding, built-in ovens and cook tops, laundry sinks and cabinets, fireplaces, solid-surface counter tops, two-tone paint, garage door openers, soft-water loops, barbecue stubs, 75-gallon water heaters, patio covers, microwaves and finished garages.

"All home sites have been released for sale at Cortona Hills, and buyers have a unique opportunity to choose the home site of their choice from a wide selection of available sites," sales agent Larry Mull said. "Our home buyers not only have the luxury of owning a beautiful home designed with an Italian motif, but they will also enjoy living in a tremendous community that features charming streetscrapes, landscaped medians and remarkable amenities."

Earlier this year, the builder opened Siena Ancora, a near-mirror image of its Siena Vista neighborhood, but with one extra floor plan.

Homes range from 1,662 to 2,665 square feet, including the new Villa Tuscany, a 2,299-square-foot, two-story model.

The new design features a detached two-car garage, vaulted ceilings, a formal dining room, kitchen with a nook and center island, family room, and three bedrooms.

The kitchens feature solid-surface counter tops; 36-inch cabinets with a furniture finish, concealed hinges, roll-out trays and adjustable shelves; and appliances such as exterior-vented microwaves, and self-cleaning built-in ovens with separate cook tops.

Other amenities include nine-foot ceilings, six-panel interior doors, ceramic-tile entries, and structured wiring systems.

Prices start from $189,990 to $245,990.

Southern Highlands has several planned amenities, such as a members-only fitness center, 50 acres of parks, private and public schools, exercise paths, hiking trails, athletic fields, volleyball and tennis courts, a retail center, and business and professional services parks. In addition, there is a 220-acre private golf course.

Both neighborhoods offer Platinum Series Environments for Living building technology and are certified as Energy Star homes. Each home comes with a heating-and-cooling cost guarantee.

To visit, take Interstate 15 to Blue Diamond Road, head west to Decatur Boulevard, go south to Sommerset Hills and turn left. The sales office is open from noon to 7 p.m. on Monday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Pulte Homes, the nation's largest home builder, has 12 active subdivisions in Southern Nevada.

Pulte Homes Inc. has operations in 43 markets across the United States, Argentina, Puerto Rico and Mexico. Through its Del Webb operations, the company is a leading builder of age-qualified communities. Pulte has constructed more than 300,000 homes.
