    Summerlin ready to host Invensys Classic

    Jim Furyk returns to Southern Nevada this week to defend his title at the PGA Tour's Invensys Classic at Las Vegas. The tournament, which starts Wednesday and runs through next Sunday, will be played on three courses.

    With a $4.25 million dollar purse, three-time tournament champion Furyk will take on such players as David Duval, Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, Davis Love III, Mark O'Meara and Justin Leonard in addition to other well-known golfers. The winner will take home the first-place prize of $765,000.

    Roving retirees find place to park in The Villages at Tule Springs

    When they decided to retire from the San Francisco Bay area last year and move to Southern Nevada, Mike and Norene Gural had a pretty good idea of the home they were looking for and considered their requirements fairly reasonable ones: They wanted a new home with a great-room design, no formal dining room or living room, and a couple of bedrooms. No problem, they found; many builders offered new homes with those features, but there was one complication they kept encountering.

    "We wanted a place where we could put our motor home, and some people looked at us like, `Motor home?' We don't like those kinds of people around here,'" Mike Gural said.
