Pulte Homes and United Blood Services will provide plenty of festivities during the "Suck Your Blood" drive on Halloween Day in Summerlin.
The purpose of the event is to provide a safe Halloween celebration for families and gather more than 105 pints of blood, according to Karen Threlkeld, public relations director at United Blood Services.
"With the holiday season approaching, this is the most critical time of year to replenish our supply," Threlkeld said. "Our organization is happy to partner with Pulte Homes for a fun holiday event with the hope that we will reach current and new blood donors across the valley."
Visitors are invited to trick-or-treat at the builder's three "haunted" neighborhoods in The Willows village -- Desert Willow, Crown Ridge and Brentwood. Count Dracula will perform magic at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and there will be a costume contest for all ages with prizes awarded to the winners.
United Blood Services is the city's exclusive blood bank, and supplies blood to 18 hospitals in Southern Nevada. Donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Desert Willow neighborhood. To visit, take Sahara Avenue west, past Hualapai Way, to Blue Willow Lane and go south.
Desert Willow has four floor plans available, ranging from 1,640 to 2,600 square feet and priced from the low $150,000s.
Crown Ridge is a neighborhood of single-story homes ranging from 2,422 to 3,012 square feet. Buyers can choose from four floor plans, which are priced from the low $200,000s.
Brentwood features five single-story floor plans ranging from 1,141 to 1,653 square feet. Homes are priced from the low $110,000s.
Sales office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday, when they open at noon.
