Family first to lay claim to Beazer home on Sunrise Mountain

The Ruesch family was the first to stake its claim in Beazer Homes' Hillside View neighborhood at the base of Sunrise Mountain.
The models won't be unveiled until Nov. 7, but that didn't stop the Ruesches from stopping by. Not only did they tour the models during the initial construction phase, they ended up purchasing their new home based on their visit.
"We had been looking in the area for almost two years," Kerry Ruesch said. "We heard a lot about Beazer's reputation for quality and when we saw the sign, we dropped by the sales office."
"I think they were shocked to see us coming," Tambra Reusch said, "but Ann Marie Conroy, the sales agent, was so friendly and helpful. She took us on a tour of each of the models right in the middle of construction and showed us sketches and renderings of what the homes would look like. The whole family fell in love instantly with the Mountainview floor plan."
The Ruesches' two-level, 3,915-square-foot design offers 21-foot ceilings and three-tiered stacked windows in the main living area. It features four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths and a bonus room.
The family selected an optional wrap-around front porch to take advantage of the views of Las Vegas and Sunrise Mountain.
The homes are priced from $210,950. They feature three-car garages, cultured-marble counter tops in all baths and Corian counter tops in the kitchens.
All homes have fireplaces, barbecue stubs, block walls, upgraded front-yard landscaping and irrigation systems. Each home is prewired for security and features ground-mounted air-conditioning units.
The Hillsborough floor plan is one of two single-story homes. At 2,548 square feet, it offers three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a den. An optional fourth bedroom or bunkroom is available.
The two-story Parkridge features an entrance courtyard and balcony. The 3,979-square-foot interior offers four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, den, retreat, loft and study. Prices begin at $262,950; the home can accommodate as many as six bedrooms.
The Summit is a one-story version of the Parkridge and includes the same entrance courtyard and downstairs floor plan. At 3,007 square feet, it has three bedrooms, a retreat, den and 2 1/2 baths. Prices begin at $229,950. A bunkroom and an extra bath are available options.
To visit the homes, take Bonanza Road to just west of Hollywood Boulevard. The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The company also is selling homes at Eagle Rock and Scarlett Canyon in the Canyons Village in Summerlin, Belle Esprit on Las Vegas Boulevard South, Highland Glen in Green Valley and Craig Ranch Village, just off Craig Road in North Las Vegas.
