Rhodes Homes names new top executives to management team
-- Rhodes Homes has appointed three new executives to its management team: Millard Thacker has been named vice president and chief operating officer; Don Purdue is the land development manager; G. Malcolm Hall is the new director of purchasing. Thacker was director of operations for Avalon Bay Communities in Seattle. He worked for 17 years with Southern California's Mission Viejo Co., served as vice president at California Communities and was director of operations for Borror Corp. He is a graduate of Long Beach State University. Purdue served as president of Aegis Contracting for five years and has participated in the development of several neighborhoods including The Fountains, Grand Legacy Estates and Spanish Hills. He earned his degree in business administration at the University of Nevada, Reno. Hall was purchasing agent for Lewis Homes for three years. He earned his degree in construction management at Brigham Young University.
-- ETN Real Estate Services' Michael Belnick has been elected to serve a second term as a director on the board of the Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors' commercial division. Belnick also is a director of the Nevada Apartment Association.
-- Century 21 Consolidated's Desiree Leal has been awarded the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager designation by the Real Estate Brokerage Manager Council of the National Association of Realtors.
-- CB Richard Ellis' Paul Hoyt and Kevin Higgins represented RMS Partnership in the three-year lease of 24,000 square feet at 5620 Cameron St. to K&K Doors & Trim Co. for $350,000. In another transaction, they represented Nevada Real Estate Group in the sale of 2.04 acres at the southeast corner of Jake Way and Capovilla Avenue to Real Estate Acquisitions for $340,000. They negotiated the three-year lease of 4,400 square feet at 4544 W. Russell Road by RMS Partnership to J.K. Glazing for $105,000. The two represented the Martinez Family Partnership in the five-year lease of 3,330 square feet at 3400 S. Procyon Ave. to Dezired Auto FX for $145,000. They also represented RMS Partnership in two three-year leases at 4444 W. Russell Road: 4,905 square feet to Color Magic; and 4,900 square feet to Terrible Herbst; for a total $225,000. In another transaction, Hoyt negotiated the three-year lease of 9,956 square feet at 4401 McGuire St. by DP Operating Partnership to Batesville Caskett for $140,000.
-- GVA Industrial Property Group's Dean Willmore represented Hacienda & Cameron Business Center Co. in the sale of a 5,778-square-foot building at 4502 W. Hacienda Ave. to Vaughan R. Vartanian for $491,000. In another transaction Willmore represented RSVP Party Rentals in the five-year lease of 20,000 square feet at 4445 S. Valley View Blvd. from Pacific Gulf Properties for $573,387. Willmore also represented both parties in the two-year lease of 2,916 square feet at 6286 S. Sandhill Road by Cole Design & Engineering from Calvin D. Jensen for $51,156. In another transaction, Joe Feno and David Stubbs represented both parties in the four-year sublease of 6,480 square feet at 6330 S. Sandhill Road by Prime Data Service from P.S. Publications for $250,624. In another transaction, Xavier Wasiak and Heather Hicks represented both parties in the five-year lease of 6,000 square feet at 241 Sunpac Ave. by A to ZZZ from Desert Rose Ventures for $265,183.

In another transaction, Gonzales and Brad Peterson represented Shawn Christopher Law Offices in the two-year lease of 561 square feet at 5844 S. Pecos Road from Parc Place Professional Complex for $25,000. Gonzales and Peterson also represented Banc One Financial Services in the five-year lease of 2,543 square feet at 1900 E. Flamingo Road from Vegan Development for $270,000.

-- Colliers International's Scott Gragson and John Kilpatrick negotiated the sale of 10 acres at the northeast corner of Azure Drive and Kitayama Street by Azure 10 Investments to Greystone Homes for $450,000. In another transaction, they negotiated the sale of 5 acres at the northeast corner of El Camino Road and Maule Avenue by Larry and Carol Miller to Gragson & Associates for $345,000. They also negotiated the sale of 2.5 acres at the northwest corner of Landberg Avenue and Buffalo Drive by Robert and Freida Weiss to Post & Wynn Investment for $105,000.

In another transaction, they negotiated a 63-month lease of 3,200 square feet at 1276 Nellis Blvd. by Decron Management to Ace TV Rentals for $252,480. They also negotiated the five-year lease of 2,600 square feet at 3035 E. Tropicana Ave. by Kabuto International to Canyon Television and Appliance for $234,000.
-- R.O.I. Commercial Real Estate's Carina L. Roper represented The Oxygen Spa Bar in the five-year lease of 2,022 square feet at the northeast corner of Sahara Avenue and Decatur Boulevard from Sahara Pavilion North for $200,000.

-- Marcus & Millichap's Tom Hedgecock and Christopher LoBello represented GRS Sahara Avenue Corp. in the purchase of the 84,100-square-foot The Bank West Building at 2700 W. Sahara Ave. from Paseo Partners Co. for $16.2 million. LoBello also represented the seller.
