Condo buyer takes a liking to Cierra

     Melanie Lane said her purchase of a condominium home at Cierra was a pleasant experience from start to finish.
      "My final walk-through inspection was absolutely perfect, without a single item that needed attention or adjustment," Lane said. "The customer service people from The Allen Group were exceptionally thorough, checking items that I wasn't even aware of to make sure every component in my home was in perfect working order.
      "And (sales agent) Sandra Walker did an excellent job throughout the entire process. She was friendly and knowledgeable, and kept me informed from the time I signed the sales contract right through close of escrow."
      The gated complex aligns the fairways of the TPC at The Canyons golf course in Summerlin.
      "I have family in Las Vegas, and had visited many times before I moved here," Lane said. "Before I even began looking, I knew I wanted to live in Summerlin because of the well-designed master plan with all the new schools, shopping centers, parks, golf courses and other opportunities for recreation."
      There are four floor plans available, ranging from 1,146 to 1,346 square feet and priced from the high $90,000s. Each home includes a deck or balcony and a detached garage.
      Lane chose Plan Four, which has three bedrooms and two baths in 1,346 square feet.
      "My former home in Seattle was very large, and I brought many large furnishings here with me," she said. "At Cierra, I found that I could have the low-maintenance lifestyle I was looking for and get a floor plan that could accommodate larger items of furniture. I was also able to choose a three-bedroom/den option, which enabled me to have a home office."
      Features include nine-foot ceilings; maple cabinets with concealed hinges; ceramic-tile entries, counter tops and shower surrounds; window coverings; media niches; breakfast bars; and gas fireplaces. Recessed lighting is installed in the kitchens and all homes are prewired for ceiling fans, cable TV and security systems.
      Common amenities include landscaped open areas, a pool and spa.
      To visit, take Summerlin Parkway to Town Center Drive, turn left, proceed to Covington Cross Drive and turn left. Models are open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Friday, when they open at noon.
