Buyer: Belle Esprit plan perfect for roommates

     Michelle Manavie's two-year search for her new home ended recently, with the discovery of Beazer Homes' Belle Esprit neighborhood.
      Manavie, who spent many weekends looking through models of other Las Vegas developers, said she found what she was looking for as soon as she saw Belle Esprit.
      "As opposed to some of the many other places I looked, the home I bought offered the warm, comfortable feeling I was searching for," she said. "It has plenty of space, big windows and lots of kitchen cabinets -- including a big pantry."
      Choosing from four models, Manavie selected the Belle Terra plan, which offers dual owner suites, an upstairs den, 2 1/2 baths and a two-car garage.
      "The layout is perfect for sharing with a roommate," she said. "We both have large master bedrooms, separate bathrooms and walk-in closets. In addition, what sold me was the private rear courtyard. Belle Esprit offers me all the amenities of a townhome community, but with a private backyard, it also gives me the feeling of owning my own home."
      Included in the selling price is a choice of landscaping.
      "I chose the Oasis package because of my dog, Jessie. I know she'll enjoy the grass and shaded areas in our own back yard," Manavie said.
      By financing her new home through Beazer Mortgage, Manavie was able to take advantage of another incentive -- a complete appliance package at no extra charge.
      "The appliance package ... not only included a refrigerator and microwave, but also a full-size washer and dryer," she said.
      The four floor plans range from 1,237 to 1,446 square feet. All include a private courtyard with a sliding-glass door.
      The Belle Amour is a two-story floor plan covering 1,237 square feet. The home features two bedrooms, two baths and a loft. It is priced from $98,990.
      At 1,404 square feet, the Belle Terra model offers dual owner bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, a den and a two-car garage. Options include a third bedroom or retreat. Prices start from $104,990.
      Belle Maison, with 1,446 square feet, is the largest floor plan. This two-story, three-bedroom home offers 2 1/2 baths and a two-car garage. It is priced from $111,990.
      The Belle Essence encompasses 1,441 square feet. This three-bedroom, 2 1/2-bath home offers an optional bonus room with an extra bath or dual owner bedrooms with an added bath. Prices start from $108,990.
      To visit, take Las Vegas Boulevard to Richmar Avenue, two miles past Blue Diamond Road. The sales office is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Mondays, when it opens at noon.
      In addition to Belle Esprit, Beazer Homes offers five other communities, including Eagle Rock and Scarlett Canyon in The Canyons village in Summerlin; Hillside View in the northeast; Highland Glen in Green Valley; and Craig Ranch Village on Craig Road.
