Bermuda Greens buyers find needed room to expand


     After 18 years in their previous home, Vinnie Stark and his wife, Jan Hamilton, decided it was time to move into a more spacious home. The couple recently became the first family to move into a home at the Bermuda Greens neighborhood in the Rancho Las Palmas planned community.
      "After about the 10th time we found new furniture we really wanted but couldn't buy due to our limited space, we decided to find a larger home," Stark said.
      Stark and Hamilton looked around the Las Vegas Valley before they found their perfect home, the Plan Two model at Bermuda Greens.
      "We were enticed by the layout, because it was the first model we visited that had everything we were looking for in a single-story," Stark said. "It was the only floor plan we found with the master bedroom separated from the two secondary bedrooms. All the other homes we looked at had one hallway with all the bedrooms lined up in a row."
      Hamilton said their new home has plenty of space, inside and outside.
      "We're on a good size lot in a home with nearly 1,600 square feet of living space," she said.
      The builder's service also impressed them.
      "During the walk-through, Pardee's customer service representative explained how everything works and how we can take long-term care of the amenities in our home, from the garage door opener and the garbage disposal to the tile and stucco," Stark said.
      The Plan Two model offers a choice of three bedrooms, dual owner suites, or two bedrooms and a den in a 1,568-square-foot, single-story floor plan. A patio is optional.
      Four floor plans are available, ranging from 1,233 to 2,153 square feet.
      Homes are priced from $116,950 to $149,950.
      Kitchens come with ceramic-tile counter tops, oak cabinetry with adjustable shelves, island workstations in some plans, pantries, and appliances.
      Standard features include high ceilings, a choice of ceramic-tile or parquet entry flooring, wrought-iron stair handrails, and cultured-marble counter tops in secondary baths.
      Owner suites offer retreats, walk-in closets, enclosed toilets, oval tubs and showers with clear or opaque glass enclosures.
      To visit, take the Interstate 215 to Windmill Lane, go west to Bermuda Road, head south to Pebble Road, go east to Manalang Road and turn right. Office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Monday when it opens at 11 a.m.
